Kelsey Geist, MBA-HRM, SHRM-CP

Vice President of HR Operations

Kelsey has been providing services to CHRS and its clients since 2015 but has been in human resources for over 15 years. Kelsey’s credentials include an MBA-HRM and the SHRM-CP (Certified Professional). Kelsey is trained in multi-state employment and labor practices and serves many clients and their employees across the country. Her focus is providing high-touch, high-service support in all aspects of HR, including but not limited to policy development, training, documentation, compliance, recruiting, employee relations, and safety and health. In addition to providing HR services to CHRS clients, Kelsey also manages CHRS’s staff and business operations.

Kelsey lives in Milton, Georgia with her husband and two children, aged 9 and 11, but is originally from Southern California. In her free time she enjoys taking adventures with her family, trying out new places to eat, and playing with her dogs.

Sherida Simmons, SPHR

Human Resources Specialist 

Sherida has been an HR practitioner for over 30 years with extensive experience working in defense and manufacturing industries as their Director/Vice President of Human Resources. She is a generalist with extensive expertise in employee relations, legal compliance, policy development, recruitment and more. Sherida has worked in both the private and public sectors. Before joining CHRS, Sherida owned and operated a HR consulting business for 11 years. While trained in California employment and labor practices, Sherida serves many clients and their employees across the country. Sherida has her degree in human resource management from Moorpark College and holds her Professional Human Resources (PHR) certification. She is a member of SHRM and served on the Personnel Commission for Simi Valley Unified School District for 27 years.

Vicki Walden, SHRM-CP, PHR

Human Resources Specialist

Vicki is a professional Human Resources generalist, field and corporate manager, with over 22 years of experience supporting various sized organizations. She is an energetic innovator and coach skilled at servicing all levels of employees and managers with the demonstrated ability to leverage professional relationships with corporate executives and field business partners to meet strategic objectives. Her areas of expertise include employee relations, performance management, recruiting and staffing, employee benefits, policy design and compliance. She has maintained her Professional Human Resources (PHR) certification since 1998 and is also certified through the Society for Human Resources Management as an HR professional (SHRM-CP).

Shawn-Rae White, PHR

Human Resources Specialist

Shawn-Rae is an experienced Human Resources professional who utilizes process-oriented approaches to build, develop and support organizations. Shawn-Rae has Human Resources generalist experiences supporting various industries from small to large sized companies for over 10 years. Shawn-Rae has earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from University of West Georgia and is certified as a Professional in Human Resources (PHR). Shawn-Rae currently resides in the city of Los Angeles with her husband and miniature schnauzer.

Comenthia Owens, MHRM, PHR, CPDM

Human Resources Specialist

Comenthia is a Human Resources professional with over 20 years of experience, supporting public and private sectors. Her experience spans in various HR services for implementing process improvements. Her areas of expertise include compliance, training, disability management, and employee relations. Comenthia holds a Masters in Human Resources Management and Bachelor of Business Administration. She also holds a certification from HRCI as a Professional in Human Resources Management (PHR) and from the Insurance Education Association as a Certified Professional in Disability Management (CPDM).

Mary Jo Stein, SHRM-CP

Human Resources Specialist

Mary Jo has been employed as a HR Professional for over 10 years. She has received her undergraduate degree from Wheeling Jesuit University and has earned the SHRM-CP. Having worked for small businesses in the oil and gas, medical, and fitness fields, she is very familiar with independently running an HR department. Her experience includes recruitment, payroll, forecasting hiring needs, developing and implementing HR polices, performance reviews, and increasing employee engagement. She is particularly knowledgeable in areas relating to employee development and creating a safe work environment for all employees.

Amber Howard, SHRM-SCP, PHR, PHRca

Human Resources Specialist

Amber brings a decade of dynamic industry experience in building HR departments from the ground up and consulting on a multitude of HR disciplines. She has extensive experience with HR audits ensuring internal policies and procedure compliance, employee relations, benefits, payroll/compensation, HRIS implementation, and employee engagement. A true problem solver that continuously monitors multi-state legislative amendments, policy proposals and HR trends, Amber is on the forefront of relevant changes. She is a graduate from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor of Human Sciences focused on HR, Finance, and Management and is currently pursuing her Master of Laws.

Taylor Robichaux, MBA, SPHR, SHRM-SCP

Taylor has over 20 years of HR experience as a generalist and specializes in developing and implementing innovative people strategies that build internal capabilities, reduce operating expenses, enhance organizational effectiveness, and mitigate risks. She is skilled at devising tactical initiatives while coaching and collaborating with geographically dispersed employees and remote teams. Taylor has served global and domestic companies ranging in size from small privately held start-ups to mid-sized nonprofits and large publicly traded employers across diverse sectors. She received her MBA from Belhaven University and Bachelor of Science degree from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale (SIUC). Taylor has earned multiple certifications including the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification from the HR Certification Institute (HRCI), Senior Certified Professional in Human Resources (SHRM-SCP) certification from the Society of Human Resources Management, and a certificate in Business Aviation Leadership from Georgia State University – J. Mack Robinson College of Business.Taylor currently resides in Houston, Texas with her husband and beloved Maltese. When time permits, she enjoys traveling, volunteering at her church and in the community, dancing, and flying as a recreational pilot.

Jennifer Maxin

Administrative Assistant

Jennifer has worked as a stay at home Mom for the last 11 years raising her two kids, Tyler (17) and Delaney (10). Before that she worked in a Doctors Office as an Office Manager. She has volunteered her time in the community and schools for 10 years. She is currently a member of the Parent Teacher Organization at the school where her daughter attends and was on the Parent Teacher Organization Board for 2 years where she served as the head of Curriculum Enrichment. Jennifer currently resides in Milton, Georgia where she enjoys spending time with her family and two fur babies.

Jean Logan, SHRM-SCP

Human Resources Specialist

Jean is an experienced Human Resources (HR) generalist, manager and director. Her areas of expertise are in developing high performing HR teams, analyzing organizational challenges, collaborating with stakeholders, and implementing solutions to improve functionality. Experienced in Fortune 100 companies across manufacturing, processing and transportation sectors, with most recent experience in non-profit environments. For more than 25 years Jean has managed and directed HR compliance, talent acquisition, talent development, performance management organizational development, and employee and labor relations. Jean holds the
Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) designation from the Society for Human Resource Management. She is a graduate of Golden Gate University, San Francisco, earning a Master of Science in Human Resources Management. Jean enjoys volunteering her time and skills at a job-readiness program for women and traveling.
